We are seeking a full-time Environmental Project Manager to lead our growing environmental team in hazardous materials assessments, investigations, and coordination across our service sectors. Preference is for this position to be located in Columbus, Ohio, but other office locations will be considered for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be either a Certified Hazardous Material Manager, Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Voluntary Action Professional or a Certified Professional Geologist. They will have between eight (8) and 10 years’ experience with hazardous materials consulting and with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) coordination. They will be familiar with Department of Defense (DoD) environmental processes as well as the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) general processes as applied by state Departments of Transportation (DOT). They must have experience and be comfortable leading, coordinating, and managing a team to complete complex environmental projects within firmly established project schedules. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to track multiple projects is critical. The most successful candidates are those who exhibit a sense of curiosity, genuine leadership, and have a strong desire to grow and develop.
Candidates with current DOT prequalifications in either Ohio or Indiana will be prioritized, but candidates with the ability to become prequalified will be considered. Excellent written and oral communication skills, familiarity with standard office software packages, and the ability to work as a team member is essential.
Our desired, well-rounded candidate will be able to complete investigations, prepare technical reports and proposals, coordinate and communicate with staff and clients regarding project status and maintain schedules and project budgets. In office attendance is a requirement, but remote work for portions of each week is an option after 90 days.
